I don't follow, how is he responsible for a signup someone else clicks through his website to see?
People cancel trials all of the time, just because you have a little "more info" (he's banged her) on why she bought a trial in the first place doesn't mean there is some elaborate scheme going on.
The girl wanted to see 1 video, she tried the site out, she cancelled. Happens all the time. What is the problem? How is it fraud? Are word of mouth sales no longer allowed in this industry?
5 or 10 joins, sure possible fraudulent activity / scheme. 1 fucking join at a low ratio and your flags go off? Its instantly fraud because he knew the person? C'mon guys, its a small world... you should have let it pan out just a little longer to find out what was really going on.
Automated software can't be right all of the time.112.020.756Comment

That being said this wasn't a "test signup" or a fraud , but more of a misunderstanding
You wouldnt believe how many people I bust days after for signing up under their own account, then they scream "TEST SALE!!!!!!!!!!!" I think i might of only ever got two emails from people telling me they did a test sale, and I already knew about it, and that was fine.Comment

If the scenario was as he says it:Originally posted by KimmykimOne hit, one sale, one cancellation, one guy in the video, one girl in the video.
What part of that doesn't scream fraud to you?
Girl: Had fun working with you a while back, can I see your first video?
Zane: Yea go to my website and signup for a trial to "whateversite", its on there.
Girl: Ok
1 visit, 1 signup, 1 trial cancellation
How is that fraud? I understand the fraud FLAG, but to just jack the guy for his comission and say it screams fraud for refering someone to the site seems a little shitty. Just because she knew to cancel her trial (she does do porn afterall) doesn't mean he TOLD her to do so.
Ah well whatever, it doesn't matter anymore either way... i'm sure the TOS covers this.112.020.756Comment

Well there will always be scammers i suppose , but if a webmaster has sent sales it just wouldn't make sense to try to slip a "self" sale in with them.. but i dont doubt it happens.. You would be suprised how many webmasters think this is acceptable without telling the sponsor after.. In theory i suppose they think it's not going to hurt the sponsor , but your right if every affiliate did this it would..
The moral of the story...
Send so many sales to your sponsors , one "test" signup wouldnt even phase them..

If I recall anywhere near correctly from the beginning of the thread, zane said he already had user passes to the site. If the girl wanted to see the scene, why wouldn't he have just given it to her so she could see it?Originally posted by ticalIf the scenario was as he says it:

Makes no sense to me at all.
I don't think zane was deliberately trying to scam SIC, which is probably why Greg was more inquisitive than threatening in his email. But the whole thing just doesn't make sense.Comment
