--> Filter music out of video scenes? Job inside!

we have 2 custom scenes over here wich have (pop) music playing in the background. Now we are looking for someone who can filter this out of the scene (if possible).

The scenes are shot in 1 layer so it is not possible to edit the sound layer I was told.

I think you will need to tape your monitor. Make sure not to make any background noises though!

Shouldn't be too hard, you'll just have to be brutal with only fading up the audio at the exact moment there's a sound you want included. I see "in the club" type TV shows do it all the time as they don't want to have to pay royalties for the background music. If you superimpose your own licensed music over the edited track then it will probably make it less obvious.

Thats going to take some skills, expensive equiptment and time, i had to do something similar and it was very time consuming. Results were ok, but still wasnt able to remove all the addtional music so we still ended laying a light music track on it to eliminate it totally

It depends on the fequency of the music. You can filter specific frequencies out of a clip, but there are several problems. For example it´s quite impossible to filter the sound of wind and waves, because the sound coveres nearly all frequencies. And it´s time consuming and therefore expensive.

The masters need to be a split track for you to knock it out right - There are some brutal ways of doing it but it will come out crappy in the long run and it will never be totally gone

Blank out the whole scenes sound and dub it like a Bruce Lee movie hehe

We had that done and it came out too crappy in our opinion, specially since this is our first DVD and we want this one to come out good. There is enough crap already out there

I´m doing business with an DVD copycenter which is specilized in adult. If you will give me some samples I can talk to them if it could be done and what they will charge for doing it. We can discuss it at the Amsterdam show also.
