I just went to the store to get a pack of smokes normal price after tax is $3.83 so I already had my $4 out ready to pay when the clerk asks me "do you want the buy one get one free?"

First off dumb fucking question like I'm going to say no just give me another pack at regular price, but I settle with a healthy "Fuckin' A right I do"

when the total comes up it's $4.49, now I'm sitting here puzzled as to why it isn't still $3.83

I was about to ask the clerk about this but she stopped me mid-sentence and said something about Tax and Transportation.

I'm still fucking puzzled because Tax in MD is only 5% and to bring a truck from VA to MD doesn't cost that fucking much and even if it did why still say "Buy one get one free" shouldn't it be more like, "Buy one get another at a discounted price but almost close to being free depending on where you live and the Tax regulations that you've never had to pay like this before even though you bought the same fucking deal down the road just last week with no hidden surprises leaving you here while you feel like you got ripped off and bitch about it"

Am I the only one confused by this?
