Absolutely not. Where would you possibly get an idea of such an extreme? Inform kids with honest information. Tell them about the negative consequences, tell them about the positives. You can give information to them in an unbiased manner. Scare tactics don't work. They never have. Kid's (generally) are not dumb. They can see through bullshit, maybe not at first, but they will. They will see that they were lied to. They will see that weed will not kill them or even ruin their lives. The abortion element is clear cut, just like in the Shiavo case. The courts have over stepped their boundries and should get slapped down immediatly before it becomes to late for this teenager to have an abortion.
This does not matter if you think abortions should or should not be legal, or for what reasons and so on. This is again about a present law that should be followed, end of story. Though we do know it will get very political unless by some off chance the republicans have learned their lesson from last time.Comment

kids will have sex no matter what they are taught in school or what thier parents say. It's simple biology. The other day on CNN they had a story about this group of hardcore conservative chirstians in a peticular church and thier kids signed a contract with thier parents and the church promising that they would not have sex until marrige. Only about 15% of them actually make it. So here are people that belive in god, listen to thier parents and thier church and in the end biology wins. . . in the end biology always wins. look no further than many afican nations. Here is a place where AIDS is running rampant in epidemic numbers and every day people are dying from starvation, and yet people continue to have sex and make more babies and spread more disease.
The only real solution is, pretty much what Alex has said, You have to teach both options. Not just teach it to them but drill it into thier heads. When I was in 6th grade we had to watch this anti-drug movie ( these days they would never show it because it is way too un-pc) in it the movie showed a guy coming down off herion and he was convulsing, naked, sweaty and shitting all over the place. And I remeber thinking that I never want that to be me. They need to show these kids exactly what STD's can and will do them. They have to show them exactly what having a kid means as well as what having an abortion means. They should teach them that should wait to have sex until they are ready and are with the person they want to be with and if they have sex they should use protection. Make the protection availible.
fuck what the community thinks. Fuck those that think providing condoms will encourage kids to sex. Kids do not need encouragment. In the end biology will win, the best we can do is help the survive it.Comment
