They show the fun, the openness, the spontaneity of a shoot that was done for fun, by a lover maybe and not for pure financial gain by both the model and photographer.

Why should models smile when doing "Amateur"
It shows they are having fun, a smile is a good thing and it's easy to make a model smile.
Trying to make an experienced model look "Horny" "Sultry" Sexy" is tough and for amateur why try to do the hard things when the easy things sell better?
How you do this is by your relationship with models, or girls willing to pose, from the moment you meet them. Some need to be controlled with a tight leash, some need to be given freedom, some need to be told they are stunningly beautiful, making you hard as a rock and the only thing stopping you from putting down the camera is your wife standing behind you. Others need to be told they are not as special as the girl you shot yesterday.
It's about stimulating them into delivering more than a lump of flesh and the difference between a nice photo and porno.
You delivered on these. Put the girls into panties or even jeans in some of the shots and you still have porno.
