It's going to be big. Entertainment Tonight apparently bought rights to it and some interviews for several hundred thousand dollars. Are you going to tune in? Is it ok or immoral? Will you wish them a happy inter-generational, inter-racial, student-teacher marriage?

Why would the wedding be immoral or not OK? He's an adult now. They've stuck together though all this and still want to be together. Let wedding bells ring

Perhaps some may feel by celebrating their marriage you would be condoning their relationship which started when he was underage. Some may feel that by celebrating it we would be encouraging this to happen more often (for teachers to have sexual relations with their underage students).

Uh, she served her time for the crime. They are both concenting adults now. By celebrating their marriage you are condoning their current relationship.

                        I'm playing the Devil's Advocate.

Do you think there is a double standard?

Maybe it's not a double standard but rightfully a different standard when it involves a male student compared to a female student. Male students have different wants than female students, they don't lose a hymen when they lose their virginity, they don't give birth, and perhaps it can do wonders for their self esteem.
