Yes I agree, the main historical theories contained in this book aren't really that suprising or shocking to anyone who has done any modestly serious research on the history of Christianity or Pagan belifes and there are a lot of factual based books out there that cover the subject much better.Originally posted by GunniI found the book predictable and boring, and I knew all about how the christians implemented all the pagan customs into their religion, and I think that was more the attraction of the book than the weak story line
However, the phenominal success of this book has helped fuel interest in uncovering the truth behind centuries of propogander and misinformation which IMHO is no bad thing
