* 1/2 kilo of white and round miki (NOODLES)
Garnishing:
* squid adobo (pusit)
* flaked fish meat (tinapa)
* pork sitsaron, coarsely pounded
* powdered pork sitsaron

* hard boiled eggs, sliced
* chopped springs onions
Palabok:
* 1 large onion, chopped finely
* 4 cloves garlic, minced
* 3 tbsp. cornstarch
* 1 1/2 cups water
* 3 tbsp. atchuete seeds or 2 tbsp. atchuete oil
* 2 tbsp. patis (fish sauce)
Directions:
Boil 4 cups water, add a little salt.Put noodles in strainer and dip in boiling water for 5 minutes or till noodle is cooked. Drain. Transfer on plate. Top with garnishings. Pour palabok on top. Garnish with sliced cooked eggs and chopped spring onions.Comment

in other words, ran like the Old testament.Virginity is sacred in this Catholic country. Women are taught there virginity is a jewel. Filipino men are not interested in marrying a non virgin. I, thought I am not sure I ever dated a virgin until I came here, understand why. I am sorry if that sounds strange or unforgiving. But in this culture the woman is responsible to not only herself but her family for protecting that virginity. She may not even be forgiven if she is raped.

Like every other sterotype it has a basis in truth but of course is not always the case. My wife of 20 years is a filipina, beautiful and wonderful and most people are downright startled by how warm and nice she is to everyone around her, not to mention how hot she is. Still 106 pounds of energy after 3 kids.
A couple of her filipina friends are downright bitchy and homely though, I would not say being perfect is a 100% filipina trait.
