amex harvesting whois or godaddy selling data

I recieved an application for a AMEX credit card today in the postal mail under a fake company name that i used to register a domain @ godaddy.com. I only used this co. name one time on the domain that i registered and never anywhere else. Are cc companies actually harvesting whois data or is it that godaddy is a data miner that sells their customer info for profit??

Probably harvesting. I receive 5-10 credit card apps from AmEx to CapitolOne a month, as well as Domain name renewal forms (only $95 a year!! wow!!), car insurance, etc. All to my name and the company name registered under my domains.

I'm not worried about that. It's one domain that i didnt want to use my regular company name on. If they want you to have valid info there should be a laws that stop corporations from solicitation or selling personal info used to register a domain.
