Uh I'm Canadian and I've done some work in this field - I think its selfish of parents to expect the public education system, underfunded as it is, to raise their children. Too many parents focus on themselves and neglect to raise, discipline and instill values in their kids.
You also failed to mention the little 'angel' also was punching and hitting the teacher and the VP as well as turning the office upside down. She is waaaaay out of control and I garuantee you she will not be fucking around like that again. lesson learned. She's probably less of a freak for it, and maybe she'll show a little more respect since her mother doesn't know how. Her mother should be fucking mortified for spawning that child. That kid tore apart the VP's office, the classroom, hit, punched and bit teachers and administrators - that is unnaccpetable social behaviour - wether you're in a classroom or a boxing ring. It's not an American issue at all - it's an issue of allowing television and other mediums to instill capitalistic values in youths rather than actually spending time teaching values and morals.

I hate to say it but I think this will not help the girl. I say that because the mother is suing and in order to do that she must paint her daughter as a vicitim. So she is already instilling the "i'm a vicitim, the world owes me something" mentality. If she loses ( and I hope she does ) she will probably blame it on race so she will be instilling the kid wit racism as well. If this little girl had been raised correctly in the first place the cops would never have had to be there to begin with. Police officers can and will do whatever it takes to detain the person no matter WHAT the age. The physical ablitiy to hurt themselves and others is what they will base their decisions on. That little girl was obviously fully capable (and in the correct state of mind) to pick up objects and hurt herself and others.
That's not the real issue here. The real issue is a bad parent after MONEY!!!
Who exactly do you think pays for these lawsuits? They aren't suing for a free counselor or an evaluation for the kid, an apology letter..ect. They want your MONEY!!!
I can guarantee if they do win (or settle out of court) you'll be seeing alot more lawsuits like this cause we'll be opening yet another door for the lawyers to sue.
