I consider myself fairly intelligent. One reason for that I believe is that I'm able to sit and listen to, or read a conversation without having to express my opinions like a know it all. It's amazing how much you can learn just by listening to others, and even moreso how few people can actually do it. Inevitably people seem compelled to express their thoughts whether they know what they're talking about or not. I don't. If I don't know anything about the subject at hand, I'll just listen and learn.
One of my favorite sayings of all time..."It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."
