actually, i have been in front of a judge twice in atlanta, both times have been actually very pleasant experiences....and as for the cop car, same thing goes...cops here are actually SO fucking nice...both times when I was arrested (piddly shit) they were pretty nice and I chatted bullshit with them

and in california, i was pulled over 12 times...one time they actually pulled me over for a CLOUDY LICENSE PLATE COVER, and during that traffic stop, they had me handcuffed, pushed against a wall and my car searched....nothing came out of it and we were released

i drive the same car in atlanta, i am the same person, and I have NEVER been pulled over once

It never gets like that in Florida.
Are you on fucking crack or what? What year did it hit 134 in LA?

I'm sure all that you say is true, Jace, and -- it's important you realize at this point -- I am NOT talking about the Atlanta vs. Georgia example, anymore.

I am making a general point. And that is...

However "pleasant" anyone's experiences with either the Surface of a place (for being a tourist/short-visitor, etc.) or with only certain ASPECTS of living in that place might be, you can STILL be very rudely and very suddenly awakened by the presence (and judicial bite) of standards and tolerances that are NOT IN EVIDENCE until the stakes are at their highest.

This concerns me because I see so many Americans still doing what they have so often done in the past -- plodding along in ignorance of laws that just haven't affected them yet.

Now you feel me -- .

It's almost as tragic to observe when good people are forced to make that discovery, as it is to observe how the Law behaves when it betrays its true color.
