ADOBE PREMIERE PRE MPEG QUESTION....Exporting to WMV

When I import a mpeg to PRO and then chop a clip to export as a WMV, the final clip has bad horizontal lines moving across the whole window. I have heard of this before, is there any way to fix it and still use megs in and wmv out???

Also, will cleaner xl do the conversion smoothly?

it's really irritating, I think its due to the mpegs being shit out of a mpeg compressing program...

MPEG isn't really an editable format in Premiere Pro. Not without a special plug-in program. Converting from MPEG-1 to WMV is always going to make a lessor quality file than if you started with a good quality DV AVI source and encoded to wmv. If you do want to make this conversion at all costs, there are some apps that convert video, like Smart Video Converter.

          Check your "interlacing" settings.
