Well, only figuring groceries I guess maybe $15 a day. When I quit smoking for good, it'll drop dramatically since 1 carton costs $50 or so. I get groceries about 3 times a month and get 2 cartons plus around $50 to $80 worth of food each time.
My bank and store is only half a mile away, so I havent put any gas in my car in well over 18 months now.

edit: in fact, adding utilities, phone and cable tv expenses, I'm around $22.50 per day. dayum. I guess when you need to pinch pennies.. you do!

Of course, some big purchases like vacation would push that average up, but in general, about $15.

On "me" - I seem to spend very little and sure no more than $30/day - I'm usually working at one thing or another and not got time to spend. (Excluding any crap stuff like cars, $300 meals with guests blah)

Still smoke like an oil refinery on full blast - cigars - but get them hand-rolled from decent tobacco leaf (no crap additives) and buy them by the carrier bag, ususally two carrier bags of 600+ cigars. They cost nothing - around 2-3 cents each, - so that's not so much.

Down south they're about half as much.

Got ya! Not sure exactly of the prices here (Costa Rica), but think a pack of 20 is about .60 cents at the moment.

Tho the EU is worse than what you quoted - they are selling packs of 20 for.. think about $8 upwards
