One of my favorite things to read is true crime and forensics shit...and I've read that the way some sick fucks end up becoming serial rapists/murderers is by starting out in b/e. They already have the sociopathic pathology in place, the fantasies about control, sadism, etc, and then they break into a house some night and lookie here! There's a woman at home.
They rape her. Or they murder her. And they get away with it. The world doesn't come to an end, they don't get caught, no lightning bolts from above strike them dead...and so they change their fantasies to include the way they felt when they commited this new offense. Pretty soon, the fantasies stop being enough, and they start planning how to make it better this time, how to make it more fun for them.
And then you end up with someone like Ted Bundy or whatever.
People scare me, man. I'm happier being agoraphobic...
