My site got picked up by SE's in less than 24 hours from launch

fucking crazy, I started linking and pushing my new site yesterday afternoon, and I woke up today and checked and I already have my stats showing results from both google and yahoo

now THAT is some kickass shit right there

haha, not really actually, this is the fastest it has ever happened for me...usually I can get into the engines within a day or two, but this time I actually have people coming to my site from the engines, meaning my site is already picked up for certain keywords, that almost always takes me a week or so

I would be more willing to bet that you may have been indexed, and you are getting spider hits, but I would be really surprised if you are ranking for keywords just yet.

hmm....so, the more I think about it, it was that wordpress forum posting that did it.....it was before I officially started promoting the site, but that post helped me before I even launched

cool shit still though to launch a site and have people find it by searching on google withing 24 hours of the "official" launch haha

You are missing the point and maybe Jace is too. Getting a link from a big site to get you crawled and/or indexed quickly isn't a secret.

The point is Google came by 3 days BEFORE he posted at WP.org, the SAME day he registered the domain and uploaded the site and 3 days BEFORE he did any promotion.

Maybe he plugged an rss feed into yahoo to get spidered or the domain was previously indexed. Lot's of good tricks to make this happen.

Just to update everyone, I did find out what I did and how I did it, but unfortunately I will have to keep it a secret ;)

I tried it a second time and it worked like a charm

for those asking about keywords and rankings, I now I have 27 pages indexed, all for specific porn star names and I am getting clicks through from google for those porn star names consistantly now

everything I did was basic SE shit and when I used to do it individually it barely did anything, but I somehow figured out a pattern that works perfectly and gets me picked up, and all pages on my site indexed in less than 24 hours...woo!
