Yeah he won, but he got beaten up and broke some bones in his face in the process. It's not like he won a $100,000 purse or really advanced his career at all.
however the status of beating kimbo is probably what he wanted
I agree, and it does sound like he does not have MMA fight experiece. Other then training on the ground.... As you know the fight start in the stand up posistion. Getting him down is another task of it's own
Anyone with 9.5 years of MMA experience would take down almost anyone with less than a year of MMA experience. That shit is crucial.
Agreed. It looked like Gannon had a great opportunity early on to slap on a guillotine choke and end it right away. Gannon sure has heart to take and win that fight like that, I'm just questioning how smart it was.
It wasn't a bad idea. Kimbo had some buzz going and now all that buzz belongs to Gannon. I'd like to see him again, I think a lot of people are more interested in him now than they were before.
I'm a blue belt from Gracie Academy, and I wouldn't fuck with that dude except in cases of extreme necessity. Even when you have your submissions working, big athletic guys are dangerous.
I am 3rd degree black and he may have just started training but as you know... if I can ever get a half gaurd on him then it's over for him.. bottom line... not saying he could not land a lucky punch on me and knock me silly.. thats very possiable... but it does not seem as his legs are in shape to kick.. nor does he have training to kick... granted he is tough.. but I am sure I can either pass him out or make him tap out... depends on the hold I get at the time... I am betting on a heel lock.. and twist

I think Choke would be your very best bet. Big strong guys can often power out of submissions slapped on them by smaller/weaker guys.
Then there's guys like Forest Griffin. Had his arm broken in an arm bar, didn't tap out, knocked the guy out with his other arm instead.
keep in mind I am not a violent person.. but I will do this to prove the fact that a street fighter will never beat someone who's trained bottom line... brawlers never beat boxers.. street fighters never beat someone trained.. granted I doubt any thing I threw at him punch wise or kick wise woule effect him much.. seems he has a steel jaw... but when we get on the ground it's over for him
by the way since kimba is in miami alot -and the bang/nasty crew - where/when would you fight him?
i think internext would be perfect - enough time to train for both of you
i have a place where it can be held.
we could do internext.. thats fine with me.. have to get with the florida state althetic commesion on it.. like I said I want it to be very legit.. none of his "hommies" running in everytime he starts to loose....

Would FSAC sanction a fight with such a big difference in weight classes?

i dont think florida ac will sanction that type of fight
but i do think it could be arranged that no "hommies" run in.
but if FAC ok'd the fight who would pay for the license, insurance ect ect?

I assume they would because my training makes up for my weight difference....
just wanted to add
I don't want people on here thinking I am a hardass which I am not.. I am prolly the most laid back guy on here... I just want to prove that a trained fighter will take the guy who everyone on here is calling a baddass

just curious but what are your opinions on street fighters vs trained people in street fight situations.. for example. you're at the bar... and get into a fight ?

Fighting is 90% mental and only 10% phsyical. You keep your emotions under control, and you use your head. Doesn't matter where it takes places.
damn there is like a 40lb difference here and it aint fat.. you've got some balls danza cuz the last thing I'd wanna hear is kimbo sayin "emmie get mah bred"
realistically though, no one is gonna put up 50k for a fight, some UFC guys don't even make anything close to 50k for their fights

I am putting it up... and I know the bang bros or nasty dollars could afford to put it up and if I am not mistaken h is there bodygaurd....
I got 1k on Dirty. I sent a ton of messages to the Nasty guys a year ago trying to get something lined up with no reply. Yes Kimbo is huge and dangerous, but not un-beatable or stoppable in any terms. Someone with some training and skils, that knows how to use them against Kimbo's "skills" could take him no doubt.
Loryn (3:16 PM):
I love it, just as long as we keep the bedroom door closed from all ears then we can have throw down hard core sex that makes us money haha
fuck it we can have sex on money never did that before
yeah it's mikes bodygaurd thats right... gool guy I have met him many times... no bad beef with him at all... fact is we'd prolly go in cool with each other and out with that much more respect of each other
not at all.... I will use his weight to my advantage... keep in mind I got about 9.5 years training in nothing but training for 4 days a week on my back most of the time with reylson gracie.. I am no softie on the ground.. now for me to stand up with him may be my death.. but not to worried about it
No offense meant, but how much more training does Royce Gracie have than you and he almost got his ass handed to him fighting Kimo in UFC 3. And Kimo was a pure brawler...that's it.... He'd have lost if Kimo didn't have a ponytail.
There is not a more lethal martial art in the world than street fighting... You have to respect that, or you will end up dead. That experience makes a world of difference.

Kimo was trained and is far far more dangerous than Kimbo. Yeah a big athletic guy is dangerous, especially to me who's only a little blue belt. A street fighter's chances against someone of Royce's caliber are slim to none.

I'm saying you have to respect that a street fighter is dangerous. If you underestimate them, or 'assume' you can win because they've never stepped on a mat, then you're setting yourself up to get killed. The ring, the mat and the street are 3 totally different situations, with the street being by far the most dangerous. It's when you get cocky and underestimate your oponent, that you will find you're not as good as you think you are...

you're right, it's not good to get cocky. That being said - Royce will tap out a tough untrained guy using only his legs. Literally. I'm not exaggerating.
I will challenge kimbo to a 2 round 5 min a round MMA fight anytime he thinks he's ready.. anyone know how to get a hold of him tell him.. he beats me.. I will give him 50 grand... I beat him which I will .. he gives me 50k bottom line... anyone with any training beisides "back yard" street fighting will take him anyday no matter the size and I am here to prove that... I will have him tap out within the first 1 min of the fight I will bet another 10k on that....
