I would agree with your overall assesment, but I was just having this conversation with Soul Rebel a couple of days ago and I don't think there is any programs that are doing 60% trial to full ratio nowadays. 30% is probably the average right now for a program of a decent size.

Maybe there are single girl sites that are doing that in a program, but a program as a whole, no way. Those days are long gone, , so you almost have to supplement your revenue with upsales and consoles and such if you are going to pay per trial.

Soul, don't forgot to mention that you can actually smell the ass on the cock from the videos! It is a new feature that we have implemented that is a real hit!

Yeah, I know who you are talking about, but I don't think their overall trial to full is 50%, maybe just for you. But if they are doing 50% average for the entire program, they are definitley the exception.

In 1998 there would be alot of programs doing 50%, but right now, I can't see more than 1 or 2 doing 50%, if any.

Anyway, not looking to stir shit or anything, as I'm not even an affiliate, but I figured I'd throw in my 2c as a webmaster.

Yes, the ones with their heads on straight will consider promoting you at any payout rate and will at least give you a shot, trying to assess how much they can make per hit sent to you. At the same time this whole "we're in beta, we're still adjusting, we're making changes to the payout structure" does wear an air of I-have-no-fucking-clue-what-the-fuck-I'm-doing. No offense, but I think you're the first sponsor I've ever heard of offering a public beta period. Maybe I don't hang out enough around here, but I've never heard of anyone else do that before. More specifically, sponsors have a tendency to get in select people to beta test their new sites. In this case it looks to me like you're not only beta testing your new site, but also your new program altogether. I know every sponsor has growing pains of some kind, but at least they try to keep them away from the public as much as possible. I applaud the intent of (some) transparency, but as much as you try advocating for it, it doesn't change the fact that it makes you look clueless.

Personally, if I were in your shoes, I'd only offer an invite-only option to promote it to begin with, but then again I'm not you and I have a totally different background. As for hosted galleries, you have no idea how much a couple of dozen of morons with 100K/day sites and no marketing skills whatsoever will cost you. Something you might wanna think about.

It's great to brag you have people who convert 1:2 but if they are only sending 2 hits that should be disclosed as well. I can convert 1:2 on any program it's easy. I can either signup to it myself or have friends signup, or i can make you click through 10 pages before you make it to the signup page. Send 10000 people to page1 that says" click here if you pay for porn" page 2: " click here if you have a credit card " page 3 " click here if you card is not over the limit" page 4 " do you have your card in hand" etc....

Now if you are sending 5000 hits and have 2500 signups thats something to brag about espesically if they are first or second page joins.
