You can upgrade the ram on any laptop....
Most of the other big brands also offer laptops with 2GB ram as default (Dell, HP, Asus, LG, Acer, Samsung,etc...)
Congrats on the new buy tho, hope you have more luck than I had (my had some problems and sent back, now am trying to figth to get my money back...fucking joke)
