BangedHouseWives Fresh idea for new look in flash. Which one do u like the best?

As always we like to try new things out for our adult pay sites.
Which one do you like the best? They are similar in many ways but one has more features with smaller thumbnails etc.
I cant wait to test it out and see how they convert.

I'll go B.

takes too long to load - the first time you hit the page (even on broad band, I got bored and would have closed it if i was a surfer). But glad i waited - I like the video clips - and like that it clearly shows off that the site contains erotic vids.

A couple of other thoughts. I didn't really like the way the thumbs expand. I'm sure you made them smaller to lighten the load but it's just a little distracting having them enlarge as you move your mouse around the screen.

Another thought, to speed it up - would be to remove half of them so you're just using 6 instead of 12 (in the case of design b)

(and yes, half the reason for me commenting is to apologize for our drunk dial last night/this morning)

You guys are nuts I got a call like 7am in the morning. I was with my daughter LOL it was my summer week. anyway it was a funny message sounded like you guys were having lots of fun.

Really it loads in seconds for me is anyone else seeing the same problem with the loads? or have any input

I love it, always coming up with new and fresh ideas, and this one is very impressive.

Loaded for about 7-10 secs for me. I liked 2nd version more as it offers a bigger thumb preview. Vids itself load fast too.

Girl's names following cursor is a bit annoying, but it's nothing big.

Again, always nice to see someone coming up with new ideas. Good luck!

Thanks for the comments... yeah I will tweak down the Kbps of the video thumbs and that will help with load time... Overall, it's lighter than the current tour which is just your standard photo racks... I also like the idea of not popping larger thumbs on mouseover... thanks again

it's interesting - i was thinking of something like this - but the first concern i had is how does the affiliates code get tracked from within a Flash file - i'm sure it can be done - but i don't know how.

I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

Yep that is what I am working now... It's pretty easy to pass a variable (webmaster id) to Flash but this new Flash is controlled by XML... So I am parsing the XML and dynamically replacing the right parts with your PornoPushers ID.... Pretty sweet

If the conversions get better this idea might do well with our hosted video galleries.

Great idea, would be great to try it out on FHG, maybe next step would be making a flash TGP like that. I am sure surfers with broadband will appreciate it

Great concept and application of it.

My vote is for B. The fewer number of thumbs gets the same point across imo...no need for the longer load time.

I'm assuming you are only using the flash in the Tour videos (since Flash loads automatically, and most surfers don't know how to download Flash if it's embedded), since Flash is a lot more pixilated than other video formats.

At the top of the page you mention in a bullet your Member videos are downloadable, but many surfers possibly miss that note in their rush to play the sample movies.

You may want to post a note next to the video about what dimension the videos are in the Member's area, and in which format(s). For example:

"Downloadable Members area videos are high res 320x240 and come in your choice of .wmv and .mpg format."

Yea thats our main goal this month to update the sites with our inhouse exclusive girls. it helps conversions

1) The thumbs don't show a mouseover now which I think is WAY better
2) The video Kbps sizes for the thumbs are tweaked down which resulted in cutting the whole Flash piece in half (the thumbs are embedded FLVs) so this loads super fast now
3) The popup effect is less now at only 115% as opposed to 150%

Lets see how it converts now. We are in the process of putting all of our exclusive girls on our tours and if this format does well, you will see it launched on our other sites... And we are definitely going to try it on our galleries. Thanks again

i have Flash 8 - what happens when a surfer without Flash 8 hits that page?

i like it - just asking questions i know affiliates will bitch about.

and Flash Video isn't pixelated any more - the On2 VP6 codec produces great video - and at a smaller size than a WMV of comparable quality - Flash video is going to be the standard on the web - mainstream it's already getting there. Paysites will have to stick with a downloadable format like WMV because when a guy pays 30 bucks a month he expects to be able to save a movie to his hard drive.
