Bunch of us Canadians came in today (thursday) around noon-thirty - 2much, topbucks, gammacash, rabbit, etc.... - and the place was already pretty much packed (say by 2:30 when we hit the pool) - no booths no cabanas, just people and schmoozing - goes to putting my ambition to getting a big-ass booth together in the near future into doubt...
As to who's here that i've seen or met - you want a list - right now i'm post-mai-tais at sunset waiting for someone to get out of the shower to hit GFY warmup - I can hear the band (LIT) blowing nice and clean rock'n'roll from my room on the 27th floor and am glad I "lit" out of there (WAHAHAH) when I did - though a cool show, there's no tawking going on down there now.
Also - they lifted the smoking ban around the pools and the Splash Bar for the length of the show. I heard it was due to Internext threatening to pull out, and one waiter simply told me "Everyone's smoking, we can't tell everyone to stop or put it out..." and he brought me a beer cup with water in the bottom.
Score one for the nicotine fraternity, I guess...
