Hello everyone, welcome to my guide. I said I was going to write this tutorial a few weeks ago on netpond but kept on putting it off until now. Seems like my own projects have been really busy and I've been working my ass to the bone. First of all, I need to say that this will not be easy. I like to think of myself as a fairly intelligent and hard working person but I have found it hard and frustrating. Just remember, it starts off hard and gets easier once you make a name for yourself and get your own circle of traffic going.
So what are my motives for this? Mainly I want to make a name for myself, I want to get my name out into the adult industry and get known by a few of the webmasters who run larger sites. I have always been taught by my family the best way to help yourself is to help others. This rings true in all walks of life, especially the adult industry. So anyway, on with the tutorial...
The following make this tutorial easier: 1 years web design experience, Search engine experience, some graphics experience, ability to learn, hard working mentality, independent thinking - I wont explain every single detail.
The aim of this tutorial is obviously to get a newbie webmaster from $0-$1000 a month. But to do this you will be making your own portal, it will be a clean portal, no popups. It will have lots of content, it will get lots of search engine traffic and it will not neglect link partners trades etc... In basic the idea of the site is to make the most awesome site you can! SIMPLE... You have to choose a niche that you know and like, if you can't do sales text for that niche I guess this isn't for you.
I launched my site the whore next door in Febuary this year. I have hosting from one of my friends and paid less than $10 for the domain. The main target of my site is basically people my age. The 18-25 demographic. Maybe not the best choice when it comes to users who have the most expendable income but its probably the biggest or second biggest porn surfing age group. This means I make all types of porn, on my site I currently have: Babes/pornstars, hardcore/reality, teens and celebs - mainstream stuff.
I did this purposely because 1) It gives me a chance to generate more traffic with freeloaders, freeloaders click links and that brings me more traffic and paying customers (don't worry about bandwidth at first) 2) customers may like to shop around and may be into more niches than one or may want to find another girl.... Whatever! 3) Traffic = power, power=money!
Sponsor wise its a trial and error thing, all I say is promote what you like, if you would join the site then promote it. You will change a lot of sponsors as time goes on and i'm still trying new ones and dumping the crap ones (same goes for trades)
Anyway, what you need is a decent layout if you go to my site and view source you will see there are very few outgoing links. Most of my outgoing links IE toplist, trade, sponsors are contained in iframes. Iframes stop page rank leak and mean my pages get completely spidered. The only place where the outgoing links are "real" is in my blog. Fill it up with content sections, sponsors and links out. You have to make it seem like your sites important. Even if its not. There is nothing worse than a site that is bare.
Ok, so you have a site, a fair layout. How do you generate your own traffic circle? The million dollar question. Simple, build it and they will come!! I suggest you make a gallery or two everyday plus one or two single pic pages that are designed to get spidered and attract search engine traffic. I've made a thread about SEO before here. Remember volume is key, I've had days when I made 15-20 pages about 150-200 words long designed to get search engine traffic. Placed them on my index page and waited for the google listing and then dropped them. Basically like a doorway page with my little twist, hah!
So how do you get all these spiders to your page? Get a lot of incoming links and few outgoing links (hence iframes - oh and please don't trick webmasters, don't say its a "hardlink" when its clearly in an iframe...) Submit your gallery to every link dump imaginable, use proxies if you want to submit more than one gallery but don't complain when you get banned... Your risk! Try and get listed in as many directories and places that don't require a recip - remember submit your site or pages in your sited accordingly daily!
Ok, so you should now be making several single SEO'd pages per day (spend less than 5 mins on each one and drop them from the main page once listed in the SE's) Start to link these single pages to both your main page and each other to create a little network. Do a min of 30 a month, optimize them to celeb names, model names, paysite names whatever... On top of that you should be making one gallery a day, gallery linked to your main page or your gallery listing page and submit that to as many places as you see can. Now on top of that I want you to start a blog (make this the front page of your portal) make a text entry every day / every other day, Make it for surfers but be aware of SEO... When your doing this you should be getting say 5 new pages per day on your site.
Once you create your own little circle of gallery and SE traffic its time to get trades, look for similar sites in your niche and say you get "blah blah blah of seo traffic that converts like mad" Its much better than begging for links and plugs from bigger sites. Trust me.
Keep on trading and building and submitting, its that simple. Build it, get your URL out there and do it again. This takes hardwork people, if your a semi intelligent person the concept will not be the hard thing, its the effort and hard work and the repetiveness. So where am I now?
My site isn't huge, 15k uniques, 50k page views. With a fair bit of of search engine traffic. How much have I made, first month of doing this daily about $500, second month $1000, This month $1000 already and its only the 12th! You can do it to!
