A lot of ppl have extra rooms! This info is from 3 days ago, but I will check with them again for you. Also, there are always a group of people that dont show due to flights being cancelled and things going to crap happening at International Security and someone on a power trip just itching to deny someone entry into the US. It isn't cool to capitolize on someone else's hassles and loss of money, but if you don't grab it, someone else will. If you call the hotel every few hours specifically asking about cancels and request to be put on a list, you've got a good chance. Last resort, you could always offer to pay for slightly more than half the cost of the room to share and someone could open up their room to you and offer you the extra bed. (the reason I say 'more than half' is because they are cutting privacy out of the picture, run the risk of being woken up when they don't want to be, etc. Many ppl share because they have been through the "Oh shit, it's too late
crap. Hell, the last one I went to, I had my "ex" there, a co worker and another webmaster all shoved into their normal rooms. You spend such little time in the room it doesn't matter.

I live in Parkland, near the hotel (30 minute drive -/+ and I am only staying one night, but my home is open to 3 ppl that absolutely can not find a room. I have a full couch in my office, another in my LV and a Chair with a stool that is actually wider and larger than a single bed. (The overstuffed crap)

In summary, I'll ask around for ya and do call the hotel every few hours and nab any cancels you get. I think "rock bottom" are the ppl that buy up rooms and scalp them like concert tickets...... I would be careful with that.
