The judge in the Michael Jackson case just allowed the accusers mom to plead the 5th to any questions related to her illegal welfare payments, but she can testify about anything else she wants.

This means that Mark Furhman could have pled the 5th to all questions about
using the word hahahahahaha and still testified against OJ.
He would never have convicted of perjury and he could still own a hand gun, still be a cop and still have his right to vote.
The prosecution told Furhman that they would go into that area. In fact F. Lee Bailey could have never asked the question(durring cross examination, that is) if the prosecution had not opened that area of questioning. So he knew it was comming.

I guess he's dumber than anybody he ever called a hahahahahaha.

Mark Furhman probably made out much better (at least financially) by doing what he did. He has sold books, appears on all these talk shows (still)... etc. And I am sure that Furhman was well represented. If his attorney wanted him to plead the 5th he would have.

It means you do not admit guilt but you accept the conviction for the crime you were charged with and you will be sentenced without going to trial.

In other words, you're fucking guilty, you fucking know it, you fucking can't get out of it, but you're too fucking lame to just face the truth.

Don't ever go into court and plead no contest unless you absolutley cannot beat the charge or you get a plea bargin deal.

If there is any chance what-so-ever that you can beat the charge and you have no plea bargin deal then the only plea to make is "not guilty".

I never used comus thumbs so it may be true that compared to comus thumbs my script sucks....but then again my beta script is $295 less than comus.

BTW: What features did comus have that you think were better than getthumbs? I don't know if comus can retrieve and process thumbs for 1000's of hosted galleries while you sleep but getthumbs can.

Comus has extreme features you arent even touching. Like uber-cool server hacking. No seriously you need to try it before you make a claim like you got in your sig it kinda puts your script to shame.

When you and your gangster friends think you are avoiding something or being somehow helping your situation are sadly mistaken.

When you plead nolo contendre in a criminal case you are not saying you are guilty or not, and you will accept your punishment. The court sees it as a guilty.

The only time no contest helps you is if there is a pending civil case, where your conviction might be used as evidence against you in that trial. Nolo contendre means they can not use your plea as evidence against you in the civil case.

For example: I beat you up, and blow up your car. I get arrested for battery and using explosives within city limits.

You are planning on suing me as soon as you get out of the hospital.

If I go to trial on the criminal case and lose, you can use that as evidence against me in your civil trial. If I plead guilty, same thing happens.

If I plead nolo contendre my criminal case does not even come into evidence.

I don't make any claims...I said "compare" the two.

Most people are not going to buy two scripts just to compare them together so "compare" logically means looking at the features and seeing which one has the features you want to use.

Comus may have plenty of features that I don't care about.
Getthumbs is mostly concerned with helping webmasters who use a lot of hosted galleries get thumbnails automatically without ever having to actually visit each gallery in a browser. It's not concerned with gallery submission or reviewing galleries and things like that. Getthumbs ranks thumbs by surfer clicks and this is something that comus does.

I say the webmaster that has neither script should compare the two because the reality here is that I wanted to buy comus thumbs but when I saw the price and what it did I realized it cost too much for what I wanted to do.
I could write my own program to do only what I was seeking. It works great for me so I decided to develop it more so that others can use it.

What I really think is going on here is that you paid out the ass for comus and pay out the ass again for each new domain and then here I come with a script that just might have done what you needed to make money and I'm giving a test version away for free. I think you may be angry that it's now be hard to justify spending so much money.

Further: What part about BETA don't you understand???
Beta means I am still developing the script and I don't consider it ready to sell. Comus is already thru BETA and being sold.
BETA testers, in appreciation of free sofware, will hopefully make suggestions to improve the script. BETA testers that simply chime in with "your script sucks" are basically assholes who do not want to be testers, they just want what ever they can get for free, and they want it to work perfectly right now as if they paid out the ass like you did.

Nope never purchased Comus, I tried the free skim version back when TGPs were all the rage. If you cant afford $300 in this business... you are in the wrong business. Hey Im glad its in PERL I can see the source code and can hack it up nicely to do what I want... that is IF I ran a TGP lol.

The guy pleaded no contest and that was all I was saying. For the scope of this post it didn't matter if I understood his plea or not since I was simply pointing out that he was convicted.

You can't un-convict the motherfucker no matter how long you debate the meaing of no contest.

See, for the purpose of the post, pleading "no contest" means the MoFo got convicted. So get off of it and talk about some other aspect of his situation that would prove he is not stupid.

The point here is that instead of calling everybody a nigga, he should have hired one to help him. Yeah, he's making money with books and TV; but he had no guarantee this would happen when he set him self up to be charged with perjury. The public could have been mad at him thinking he blew the trial and rejected his books and interviews and then he couldn't even be a cop in another city(got be legal to carry gun) or vote!!!

That one mistake could have put him in the street with the homeless...
If you make such a mistake and can't work in your profession, what would you do?

My whole point of this post was to say :
"Check it out; you can plead the 5th to a single question" and cover you ass.

Example:

Lawyer: Mr Blackmonsters; did Baddog say fucked up shit to you on GFY?
Me: Yes your honor and here's what he said......

If you did a poll of white cops that are racist in the US and Canada, none of them would ever be able to testify in a trial.

Being racist though, doesn't mean you'd stoop to planting evidence or frame someone on a murder charge. Hell, just about everyone has spit our racial slurs at one point in our life but most of us would never be morally capable of what Fuhrman was accused of.

And on that note, if the LA cops involved in the OJ case were so incompetent (according to the defence team) how on earth were they smart enough to conspire to frame OJ?
