Tons of free programs might not optimize. But on another note, people new to the industry for example who don't quite know how to thumb so well and might just want to get into it could value our service. The prices you saw are old, check out the new http://www.lazythumbnails.com/pricing.html

Dude, i'm all for cool new ideas...but your prices are our of wack with your market....Move to Rawanda...teach them how to use a computer....bring your prices down to 2 dollars, THEN you'll be in business!

That's pretty nice service...but I know one guy who has much cheaper prices than you ;)
He takes 500$ for 2000 galleries to be thumbed.

I'd love to see some examples of his thumbs. :-) At that rate, I'd almost certainly say it's script-based. This is all hand-work.

Not a bad looking service. Lemme make sure I got it straight though. So I can send you a list of 25 galleries, and you will go through and choose an image from each one and give me an 88x88 and 90x120 (or whatever dimensions) thumb for each gallery? I don't even want to have to pick the image if I'm paying for a service like this. On top of that, assuming each gallery is in a seperate folder, would you guys upload the thumbs to the appropriate directories ... so that I know when I go to submit 25 galleries each thumb is at htt://url.com/galx/88.jpg or /90.jpg etc??

Hmm could be very useful.

We most definitely would accommodate you to the best of our abilities. We would separate of course the different images into their appropriate directories. Basically, you send us a zip of content, we thumb it, you drop it into place on your server and your galleries are all up. We would differenciate with examples of 90x120imagename.jpg and 88x88imagename.jpg etc.
