I'm looking to form a LLC. What do I put for type of business?

LLC work fine for me, already more 5 years.

Sorry. On the application for the Employer Identification Number for the IRS. I'm not sure what to put as type of business. Would "Web Developer" be ok? I dont want to put "Adult company".

I agree with all of the above answers. As long as it's close you'll be fine. Hell, as far as the IRS is concerned as long as you pay them you're fine. However, the corporate paperwork SHOULD be more explicit as to the nature of your business. A quick rule of thumb is that the more you stray from disclosure as to the nature of your business the more easy it is to "pierce the corporate veil" of liabilty protection that incorporating provides. This means, you should select real board members that have real meetings (can be phone conferences, just be sure to document). I mean, just think about it with common sense, one of the reasons for limited liability is that committees in theory make more sound decisions. If you through corporate formalities in the trash, then you open the doors for prosecutors to come after personal assets. Another reason for limited liability is to be able to raise capital from shareholders who don't need the risk, but that's a whole other topic.
