    Thehun question...

    i was just wondering, why do 95% of the listings on thehun look like complete peices of shit? (the design)

    i mean COMEON

    your paying X,XXX$ to get in the top twenty and you cant be bothered to throw up a decent looking page?

    the only reason i can think of why everyone has shitty layouts is either, their simply lazy...too busy or using a layout like that actually captures the attention of the surfer more because its not professional?

      thehun likes galleries like that, he dosnt like anything fancy, and i find basic converts, i just put color bg, banner on top pics then text link on bottom, when little april first came out i did 28 sales on my hun listing.

                      I think the only person that wants a graphically nice looking template is the webmaster - surfers want to beat themselves off over the content so don't give em enough to blow their load

                                                                                      Look at the big TGPs. By that I mean those with the traffic. 89.com, thehun, xnxx, pichunter, shemp and so on. You see a lot of galleries with banner - thumbs - textlink - 2257... Not saying you don't find some " designed" layouts, but for the most part they all seem to carry a lot of "simple" galleries.

                                                                                      I thought the fancy layouts would make my sites "sticky" and thus productivity would go up. When it comes to gallery design, spending hours on a gallery doesn't equal a better conversion rate. The verbiage and content seem to make more of the impact. It's that key to get the surfer to click to the tour that counts or decide to join before he or she gets there.

                                                                                      Couple other points. More traffic doesn't have to mean more sales. More trips to a tour doesn't have to mean more sales either. Trips to the tour does means you have a chance at a sale. Old galleries can work as well as new ones. I don't think worn-out galleries work through.

                                                                                      I also THINK that if a surfer is NOT buying within the first several clicks, he's just collecting free stuff to jerk off too? Still trying to figure if that is absolutely true as a generalization. A surfer may comeback a few or more times times before buying. Esp trues of cam and dating sites.

                                                                                                  Go to Alexa and start looking at traffic details on the big or well known sites, even the legendary. Ask your self who is making the most with the traffic they have and why.

Tracking hosted galleries is one of the most important keys for programs because it helps find out which ones convert, obviously. But what the numbers show is odd because galleries you think would suck because they are uglier than anything convert better than a jazzy gallery. It also depends on where the galleries are going ... it's a game of playing with traffic and galleries. I know people that think after one gallery doing bad that thehun's traffic isn't worth it, that's not true ... gotta learn to work the traffic!
