i ALMOST bought sex.com and business.com in 1994 and ALMOST sold them
for $200,000,000,000 during the .com boom but i didn't have $80 for
registration in 94 so i never bought them.

you gotta admit, it was close though!

You would cry to learn about names I turned down because I did not understand domain valuation at the time. Not saying that I do now either but I am learning more everyday.

Honestly the PPC traffic and revenue from it are not that great, which is why I can understand why you sold. Its value is in equity and development.

I sold it to elequa, who never sells, but if it were mine still, I wouldn't let it go for less than $50k. Traffic was lousy but it's an absolutely amazing brand.

Originally it was part of Proctor and Gamble's suite of names that were sold off wholesale.

In retrospect, the idea that I paid a grand for thirst.com just blows my mind.

Sadly, selling it for $3k blows my heart.

But seriously, I have nothing to complain about. I'm grateful for the last two or three years especially.
