I wasn't surprised they offered Bonnar the contract, but a little unfair. That was a GREAT fight. Toe to Toe all three rounds. Neither wanted to lose that contract and you could see that. I wanted forest to win that entire time. When he got cut I thought it was going to happen all over again. But when the doc gave the okay it only got better. Congrats to Forrest for getting the win. As for Steven. I figured Shamrock was a little too old, the announcers were really hyping him, but he made some sloppy mistakes he wouldn't have made in the past when he wasn't 100%. not to say he isn't a tough ass old man, but the dude that beat him was really fast nad had the killer instinct. bad combo for shamrockComment

btw, I agree Bonnar definetly deserves a contract but I just don't think it was appropriate for Dana to announce in the middle of the ring he was getting (I believe) the same contract as Forest. The rules were clear: The winner in each class gets a contract and the losers go home.
If the day after the fight Dana calls up Stephan and says "hey dude, we've decided to give you a contract but out of respect to Forest - who won the fight - yours will be for a lesser term/money..."
