and not just that, the original movie was Willy Wionka and the Chocolcate Factory, whcih was a collective story gathering a bunch of different stories...this movie is the actual book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...so in a way it is a remake, but it also is a movie telling this one individual storyComment

Hurm I thought the original movie (classic) ended with Charlie and co, leaving via the glass elevator which then would have been the start of a sequal had they done it. I could be wrong but I thought the 2nd book was never brought to screen.

now, many years later, there is a new movie coming out with johnny depp which is totally seperate from any movie that has been made before, it is not a sequel or anything...this is a movie based on the first book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...and will have nothing to do with Charlie and the Glass ElevatorComment

also, if you have the SE of Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory, there's a feture you'll hear the the producer talk about initially trying to make one big commecial for a candy bar that ended up being manufactured poorly and melted on the shelves...Comment
