    Does owning a Camry mean that you've totally given up in life?

    This morning I was getting my car washed. It's a busy place on Sepulveda with a lot of high end clientelle. As I was waiting for my car, one of the Mexican rag boys holds up a set of keys to a freshly washed Camry. No one will admit it, but we were all waiting to see what kind of clown would claim the car. After a slight hesitation a very small white man got up and trudged over to his car. He tipped the rag boy $1, got in his car, put it in Drive and drove away in shame. I felt so very bad for the guy.

                                  Cars just don't impress anyone like people think. Maybe if it was a 10 year old Camry it would be embarrasing. But nothing wrong with a new Camery. Good fuel mileage, relieable etc. Most people with the super fancy cars either have a very long term loan or gigantic monthly lease.

                                                  The gas prices here in San Diego are insane, and that car got great gas mileage

                                                  Now I go through $40 a day in gas driving a mustang convertible- I do get more pussy than when I drove the Camry but I have to tell you

                                                  I am ready to sell this car- Between repairs and gas I am done with it.

                                                  Anyway I knew lot's of people driving Bentley's and Benz's and it was funny cause I'd go to their homes and they'd all have no furniture or were renting their places...

                                                  At least I paid cash for my Camry and my Mustang

                                                                                  The sad thing is a lot of these "cool rich people" driving nice cars are only able to do so because they spend every penny they make a month. If they lost their jobs or went bankrupt they'd wish they had a camry.

I'm sure he is college educated, goes home (to a house he owns) to a beautiful family, intelligent kids and in a nice neighborhood to top it all off. The man is sensible enough to drive a car with great gas mileage, a sturdy engine and great safety features. I'd hardly call that a loser.
