Lost my wallet yesterday during a soccergame and got a call that I can pick it up at the policestation in amsterdam. My driverslicense, atmcard and about 50-75 euros in it. Wonder if the money is still in it though. Anyway I am glad they brought it to the police station ;))

I had something close happen once... Lost my wallet at an outdoor Holiday event. I had about $400 cash and my CC's, needless to say I was freaking. About 3 days later I got my wallet WITH cash and cc's mailed to me by someone that left no return address.. It's nice to see there are still a few people out there with a heart. My GF lost her wallet in the WORST part of town last year. She had a a few $100 in it. Man was she ever worried and pissed.
After she threw a few hissy fits and bitching sessions she went about her day and went to the coin op to do the laundry, came home and at that moment the police called and asked her for her birth date, she told them and they asked her to come pick up her wallet.
Everything was there as it should be.. no money missing or anything.
Turns out a handicapped guy found it while wheeling about in his electric chair and brought it to the police station.
My girlfriend asked the cops where he could be found. So they gave her his address, she walked over and it took the poor guy 15 minutes to answer the door, he kept saying "Hold on, I'm coming".
He managed to crawl on his belly to the door pulling himself by his fingers, opened the door and my GF gave him a bunch of money.
Just goes to show that there are still honest people.Comment
