    question for americans here about the Iraq war!

    this is what I want to know ok if the president bush had come out and said something like:

    "We want to invade Iraq because we need to secure the oil and show the world we're not to be messed with over stuff like this + Saddam Hussien is a fucking asshole and we're probably doing the world a favour getting rid of him!"

    how many of you would have thought well ok then do it or would you say fuckit I'll sell my hummer and get a hybrid ?

      he could have said saddam looked at him funny and he still would have gotten his war one way or another, so it wouldnt have mattered what "the people" said

          liberals would have bitched if he did, and bitched if he didn't. Just like everything else.

          Can you remember if John Kerry was for the war or against the war? He was both, sometimes in the same sentence. It just depended on who he was talking to at the moment.


          They are just told to show up for the protest, they dont tell them what they are protesting until they get there and get in line.

                  As a liberal, I would respect GWB if he would just say what his REAL agenda is...like this stem-cell shit. Just SAY "the Christian conservatives helped put me in office, so this is payback".

                      I'd prefer if he had said:

                      "Fuck the middle east. We're devoting no resources or effort over there, other than some possible humanitarian aid because we've fucked that area up for so long. Instead, we, as a country, are going to spend the trillions we would have spent warring over there on renewable energy solutions for this country, better healthcare, education and whatever else benefits our nation's citizens."

                      However, since much of the global economy relies on goods produced by big and small nations; goods shipped via vehicles powered by petroleum products, he couldn't say shit like that. It's not just a US issue. It's a world issue. Being a US citizen, though, I'll agree our current administrations efforts are pretty fucked up.

                          Things will get better in Iraq. It all takes time.

                                      it's wasn't about oil it was more about saddam trading his oil for EUROS instead of dollars
