If domain values are going up, doesn't the definition of 'top domains' change?

For instance, if I have a domain that 2 years ago was worthless, because of market dynamics wouldn't it be worth more now?

So, I guess what I'm asking is; what qualifies as a "top domain" nowadays besides the obvious excellent one-word/two-word magic bean domains...

Thoughts?
