Whenever I find someone using my photos in a Yahoo profile or group without my permission, no amount of crying to Yahoo or moaning in forums has ever got any action done. However, when I send in my photo id, statement of ownership and appropriate documentation, the photos are usually removed within two business days.
AFF is a huge company with proper channels and departments of people. Sure, they have a ton of employees, but that does not mean they would hire people to surf around making sure no affiliates are using Elli photos any more than Yahoo would.
If you are a content owner and you find your material being used without your permission, follow the procedures and you will be well taken care of. If you want to be a good samaritan and you see someone's content being used unlawfully, give a heads-up to the content owner and let them know how to get it fixed.
