I have read very similar facts to these in a historical encyclopedia... You also forget the assassination of the Egyptian President Sadat who had been killed BY ARABS (his own people) for "standing in the way an Islamic state and for being the first Arab leader to sign a peace treaty with Israel, in 1979."
He was assassinated by Muslim extremists, who were opposed to his peace initiative with Israel. Now instead of being at peace, avoid a war, other attacks and also get more of their so-called territory, they prefer killing their own political figure. Stop me if im wrong, but this doesnt sounds right to me.
Then again, politics are complex. I base myself on historical written facts. There's always seem to be another side to the medal no matter what...
