The oil money is supposed to go into the hands of a few elites and towards paying interest to the WB, it's not supposed to go towards things like heath care and education for poor people.

They assassinated Salvador Allende, and then installed a brutal dictator, Augusto Pinochet, who is about to go on trial at the world court for his crimes against his own people. They also did the same thing with Arastide in Haiti less than two years ago, he was elected with over 90% of the vote. Now Haiti is a military dictatorship. They don't care about democracy, when they say democracy, they mean governments that will do exactly what the US wants them to do.
