it's hard to get SEOs who are worth 2 cents, since anyone who can reliably optimize something into a top10 ranking would surely rather just do it for themselves, than a client's site.

There are very few sites out there you can just optimize for good results.
You need the site to be included in a link network unless it's already really strong. That can cost you $5000+ a month if you want quality. That's probably what I would charge.

I know there are "consulting services" available through GotWebHost but you have to do all of the "work" yourself.

all you have to do is submit to 5000 ffa pages, spam thousands of guestbooks and message boards, join a few link farms, and repeat the keyword on your site a few hundred times..

im well aware what a good seo costs and its not like im a broke bitch like 90% of you on here.

its a non adult project that im devoting 150% of my energy into and giving it the chance it deserves. I will be very picky with who I use, and i would not use anyone in this industry such as baddog or that fag wiredguy.

Iam sure there are plenty on here not even in this industry that have the experience i am seeking.

But spoke to him a night or two ago, he's not taking new clients.

But for real:

You looking for a full time SEO?
Guestimated budget (salary plus expenses)?
Revenue sharing potential?
What's the industry? (generality is ok)

etc etc etc

Good luck with the search it's not easy finding someone good that'll work for pure salary in this biz. Mostly you'll get a consultant that wants to outsource much of the grunt work, and will be asked for a % cut of the rev if they're really good. If they're so so, they'll settle for salary only.

Also depends on the market, if it's something they can easily replicate themselves they're very likley going to ask for a rev/cut...if it's seriously difficult to replicate you're a little safer from that question being asked.
