                    The College of Cardinals chooses the new Pope from its ranks. It should be interesting how the new diversity of the catholic church will play out for this selection. John Paul II was the first non-Italian pope in over 300 years. Should be interesting to see how the dozens upon dozens of non-European cardinals will choose.

                    Regardless, Catholicism is at a crossroads. Not since the Second Vatican Council has its tenets and dogma been under such controversy.
