being thankful for what you have is when you can make the most progress

    this is a deep thread...

its interesting that when once in awhile we concern ourselves and get depressed about whatever our life is lacking, that all it takes is a dose of reality to make you realize that things could be MUCH worse - and it's great once you experience this, as it is the time that you are really able to be happy regardless of the petty insigificant things that your life might lack. these petty insignificant things can be many of the obsessions we commonly associate ourselves with, like materialism , finances, etc... because when it comes down to it, if you have your health and you have your sanity, it's all that matters, as having those 2 things allows you to continue life, and better your situation. we all know the phrase, life goes on.

and under these often times (unfortunately) short lived positive perspectives, are the times in which we make the most progress in every aspect.

    thank you.

These kids are born on a garbage dump in Cambodia. They spend their life sifting through garbage every day to find enough scraps of plastic and metal to sell so they can buy food to survive.
I post on GFY so that when people ask me what I do,
I can tell them that I work with the mentally retarded.
