Normally I'ld be wringing my hands in sinister glee as XXXoutsourcing has been kind of rude in the past but there's a bigger issue here.
It's about service plain and simple. Lensman provides many outstanding service and opportunities everyone gets to take part in or share. Not just the pornmeisters either. So when he gets sideswiped we ALL get sideswiped to one degree or another.
Whether outsourcing had anything to do with it I doubt it. I used to swear not to outsource but having had to work with management over the years in several industries I understand WHY outsourcing can be beneficial. Long story but it's about the character of the people you choose to work with.

You know, outsourcing does not always mean work completed in a different country. Several sponsors outsource to us on a regular basis. Our people live in either the U.S. or in Canada, and English is their mother tongue.
We do a fair size amount of gallery work on a regular basis. We double check everything. We work with our customers and make sure they are satisfied. We also do customer service. We go to every length possible within the limits set by the sponsor to keep their customers satisfied. I think our major benefit to them is being able to recognize when something has gone wrong and bringing it to their attention immediately so it can be fixed.
Not all outsourcing means offshored nor does it always mean poor quality. We have experience in almost every aspect of this industry and perhaps that puts us ahead of the game. I guess the word "outsourcing" is getting a bit of a dirty reputation, but most sponsors outsource a lot of work from design to custom content etc.
I just think everyone should base judgements on the individual companies and their experience, or others experience with them.
Professional design, development, and "grunt work" for webmasters and sponsors at reasonable prices.
