doesnt everything you are possibly going to buy come under the bracket of "tax, bills, other shit". I know people who work full time just to pay their taxes and bills, they do without other stuff.

It's a decent living, depending on what country you live in.

In the UK, you can barely buy a pack of cigs for $7200, but in Afganistan you could probably buy a shitload of camels and hookers so it would be sweet!
