No, not all muslims are arabs. And a lot of muslims living in the US/Canada are now becoming americanized in terms of culture. It's pretty simple, he doesn't agree with muslim extremists, it's not hard to follow. He was born a muslim but he's more atheist now. I wouldn't call it a serious issue, AIDS/CANCER are serious issues, my friend's religious beliefs don't qualify.
