Thanks Snake for pointing this out. We have 3 gallery people at XXXOutsourcing building galleries. I'm fed up with the 404's on my galleries as seen here http://galleries01.adult.com/reality...?wm=NTM0OjY6Nw (look at Diane at the bottom left, the href is to "", which defaults back to the same gallery with no wm id - we fixed the other links already). We are also doing a codesweep now to look for any other fuckups.

If I am going to have to check every link they do, I might as well have my own people do the galleries.

This is the last straw with them. You're fired.

That's why you never deal with outsourcing "companies." Not to be rude but maybe it's good that it happened to you. Now something will more than likely get done about them harassing members of GFY for jobs then providing them with substandard work. This isn't the first time people have been extremely unhappy with them.

that sounds better for the north american job market, i have never liked outsourced companies, seems like a staff full of half assed designers and minute crunchers. at least the problem is fixed now.

If you're going to run an outsourcing company you better make damn sure that not only are your prices better than others but your work is UP TO PAR (at least).

Dont worry, there quickly changing names and will spring up as a new outsourcing group tommorow!

I used them for a banner, and was the most annoying experience ever. Not only did the banner suck, but the little prick there was so annoying with SEND ME PAYMENT, SEND ME PAYMENT, he tried 100 times before they ever delivered the banner. I told them, from the get go, 50% upfront, 50% in the back. And for gods sake it was for a 20 dollar banner, i mean come on.

For corps what you think as an individual doesn't really matter. You are just a number like me and decisions are taken on numbers/figures. If outsourcing didn't increase the corp. profits it wouldn't exist. If outsourcing was harming the brands in the long run it would had stopped.

But the trend has only become widely fashionable in the last 5 years or so. There IS no "long run" yet.

Wait and see. I say certain outsourcing practices will fall by the wayside eventually, whereas it will keep on increasing in other areas. In our industry it is still up in the air as to just how "long term" the outsourcing of design work will be. As far as I'm concerned the jury is still out.

Anyone can make fuckups but since outsourcing companies are pushing the whole "We're just as good and at a better price" thing they better BE just as good. That means keeping the fuckups and complaints to a bare minimum.

Not true, it has been around for decades. the difference was the increase of outsourced services the last few years from smaller companies specially on customer support. That's why everyone became familiar with outsourcing. My family was running a silver/gold frames business....two decades ago there was not a single local manufactures left, just importers. I can imagine that happened in states even longer ago. What has changed all these years? Nothing.
