I've used enom API for a few years and it was great, as long as you don't need support. Their support sucks. Sometimes they answer immediately, sometimes a few days later and sometimes never.

The nice thing about enom API is that there are a ton of PHP/Perl scripts out that take advantage of the huge amount of features they offer so if you needed sample code, you could find it fairly easy. You'll need an enom reseller account which can be acquired pretty easy.

Never used godaddy so I can't comment.
