Cabbies have been overcharging tourists in Vegas for rides from the airport for a long time. This is a dirty little trick cabbies like to play because there are two ways you can get to the strip from the airport. They'll take idiot tourists the "long" way to the strip which goes on I-15 and takes about 20 minutes. The reality is that the hard rock is 2 1/2 miles away from the airport and should only be a $5-6 cab ride, not $35.
To ensure that some jackass cabbie isn't ripping you off, tell him to go this way.
1) The airport is on Wayne Newton Blvd, you'll be getting picked up there.
2) Right onto Swenson (its a very slight right if i remember correctly)
3) Left onto East Naples
4) Right onto Paradise
5) Hard Rock Hotel + Casino is on Paradise - you can't miss it.
See you @ XBiz
