I have a solution for TGPs dealing with cheaters. Btw, I have 2 solutions, so please choose the proper one:

1. Instead of doing robot and live checking all the galleries all the day, why don't you make a script that checks a page 'live' when somebody click on the link on your site?

So, when you approve some submition, you make a copy of it, or just a CRC check of the html. Then when somebody click on some link, script checks CRC code of the target html page 'live' - if it's identical then you send your user to that site, if it's not then just inform your user that this page doesn't exist anymore and delete that link form your site. And your script shoud use a rotated list of Anonymous proxies, so every time somebody click on link, diferent proxy checks the CRC of that site...

2. I am not familiar with IMG SRCing stuff, so can somebody explain it to me if I am wrong... But, what I can think off it's that this thing also hurts bandwidth of someone that is sending it... right? (The Hun in this case) If so, then instead of sending so much traffic that hurts you too, why don't you make a copy of every gallery you approve and host it on your servers, so anybody can't change it?

not really a good idea... a link checker uses a lot of resources and it checks only a few galleries at a time. Now imagine this 'live' checking on a bigger site. Hundreds of clicks in one second... hundreds of additional processes. You'd need a lot of computers to handle the necessary CPU usage. And every check of a gallery implies that the requested gallery needs to be opened by the script, checked and then the surfer can load it. Means he probably has to wait a few seconds (I guess 5-10) before the script sends him to the URL (only if there's enough CPU power). Surfers get bored and leave your site.

Really, put galleries on YOUR server Hun, and viola. No redirection is possible aint it right? What can be easier? Made a gallery, upload it to FTP , all automatical and that's it.

Hun has enough of what's called "questionable content" himself on his TGP so why does it matter where TGP killer redirects traffic to?

If TGP killer was forwarding the traffic to real child porn or lolita sites I would have understand Hun and stay away of this discussion. Look, You cant offer something for free which is being sold in real world. Know why? Because in every biz there's a cost of what You sell. If You sell rocks for example or cars or whatever, You got to pay something for them Yourself dont You? Buy them or create them but spend money on it nevertheless.


Well TGP's have used the lack of law in the internet to bypass this simple biz. law. Because they dont buy content. They dont pay even for bandwidth.

If the normal law in the internet WAS working then most of TGP's wont work because at least 50% of what's posted there is either stolen or not licensed good enough to be posted on TGPs.

IT DOESNT MATTER THAT THE AMOUNT OF CONTENT USED ON A TGP MAKES THE TGP OWNER 100 TIMES LESS THAN THE SAME AMOUNT USUALLY MAKES THE PAYSITE OWNER BECAUSE TGP DOESNT PAY FOR CONTENT.
