Considering the range of the proposed missile *may* have a capability of reaching Alaska, - a state on the extreme perimeter of it's range, - why is there such a fuss when a whole range of countries fall within the 6000 mile range?? They have more reason for concern than anyone - that is, if they are concerned.

Least currently, it appears most Asian nations are not in line with the US or Japan on this and even South Korea is not a supporter of the Japanese/US "alliance".

Always amazes me the comments that get blurted out - example:

"China now has an opportunity to put its best foot forward, to send the North Koreans a direct message that these missile tests cannot be tolerated," said US Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns."

Duh? China is the decider of how it will "put it's best foot forward" and that sure ain't going to be based on some comment from a US official.

Clearly nuke proliferation is not a good idea - for anyone. It does not take more than one braincell to track the start of this problem - not only in NK but also in Iran. When countries get targetted with threats of preemptive strikes and grouped in an "Axis of Evil", common sense dicates they will take whatever measures are in their best interests. Who have we to thank for that?

Now that NK has some form of nuclear facility - those who threatened preemptive strikes are screaming the loudest. Hell.. get real.
