Say I had 350 thumbs all in different folders that I needed converted from gif to jpeg how much? You would have to download the lot with the correct file structure then convert then upload again.

Grab a file converter that has Windows Explorer integration. Do a search across those directories (with Win. Explorer), then select all the results, right click, do the conversion removing the original. Search retrieves all the files with full paths, making it easy.

Delete the old files from the web, upload the new.

Done.

Picaview does this.. not sure if it's still supported or not. http://files.brothersoft.com/picaview.exe

Thanks bro, but he just offered to do it for $50. I am too lazy to do it myself. Shit that picaview.exe I have used before and it does come in rather handy!

Wouldn't you make more submitting for yourselves?

I'm not being a dick or putting anyone down acusing anyone of crappy gallery designs or anything like most do, I'm just trying to figure out the logic behind it.

BTW - I had no intention of jacking xlabor's thread.. sorry 'bout that.. I remembered doing something similar and wanted to share it. Forgot what thead I was in.

$50 is definately worth it. One screwup with picaview (when overwriting the originals) will turn an hour-long task into a week of rework!
