It's called: political correctness (PC)

It is not PC to use force against a woman. Period.

You can argue with a judge or howl to the moon that the laws should apply to all equally, but by that point you have a pending criminal charge and you have paid a big retainer to your lawyer and maybe even spent the night in jail.

Better to just walk away.
